Hearth provides conversational nutrition support by text. This policy describes this website and its text-chat service.

What Hearth stores

When you start a chat, we store your mobile number, signup date, adult self-attestation and version of the consent notice. We store incoming text messages, replies, delivery identifiers, and your stop/resume preference. Recent messages are used to maintain the conversation. If you text Hearth directly, we retain a minimal number and consent-status record while asking you to opt in; your initial message is not stored as coaching history or sent to the AI before you agree.

We use short-lived hashed network identifiers and counters to limit repeated signup requests. Hosting and messaging providers may separately process technical logs. This website has no advertising trackers.

Who processes your information

OpenAI Sites and its hosting infrastructure, including Cloudflare, host this website and relay enrollment requests and SMS webhooks. The hosted Hermes service stores a bounded recent conversation on DigitalOcean. Twilio delivers and receives texts. Anthropic (Claude) processes the recent conversation to generate AI replies. Texting remains unavailable until hosting and carrier registration are complete. The service operator can access records needed to operate and support Hearth.

SMS is not end-to-end encrypted. Share only what you are comfortable sending through these providers. Hearth does not connect to your other apps or to an Operanda vault. Messages are not sold by Hearth or used for advertising. Mobile numbers, SMS opt-in data and consent are not sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We share information only with the service providers needed to operate Hearth, as described above.

Your choices

Reply STOP to stop conversational texts. Reply START to resume. Reply DELETE to delete conversation messages from Hearth and stop replies. Hearth retains a minimal number, consent and opt-out record so that deletion does not accidentally restart messages.

The service retains up to 40 recent conversation entries and removes older entries as the conversation grows. Pending messages are stored temporarily for processing; delivery and opt-out receipts are retained separately. Deleting records from Hearth does not erase copies on your phone or guarantee immediate deletion from providers’ logs or backups. Their policies govern those copies.

AI and health information

Hearth is AI and can make mistakes. It provides general education and conversational support, not medical diagnosis or treatment. Avoid sending information you do not want processed by our providers. Photos and audio are not supported in this version.
